The Iconic World of Fashion: Long live McQueen

As most of you know the talented Alexander McQueen sadly took his own life earlier this year. To me McQueen was an inspiring designer who mixed creativity with commercial which is the sort of designer I would like to be.

So what made this London designer so amazing you ask? Well, there are so many reasons it’s hard to know where to begin. Basically McQueen was good at everything. His drape and cut was continually new and fresh but at the same time he was a master of details, forging a new path of textiles and digital print. Everything was theatrical but nothing was overdone. His designs were feminine yet powerful, a magical mix of creativity and imagination. It’s sad that the fashion world has lost such an inspirational and visionary designer but it will be because he was so talented Alexander McQueen that will always be remembered.
